PRIVATE CLASSES

“I believe that yoga is a gift for humanity”

It is available to everyone. Its fundamental purpose is to teach us how to be present in the moment.

Taking a private class is a wonderful way to discover yoga or to deepen your practice. I meet each individual’s needs and offer my students to better understand the different layers of this ancient medicine: the body, the mind, the breath and much more, that are not always accessible in group classes. Together we practice to grow, heal and appreciate what life has to bring us.

I balance my classes with precise instruction (shaped by my practice of Iyengar), alignment with breath, fluid movement and emphasize thoughtful sequencing. Modifications and props are used to individualize the practice for each student.

I see Yoga as a way of living consciously, creating a life
of integrity and authenticity.

You are one yoga class away from a good mood!

Vinyasa Flow

This is a dynamic, fluid and creative form of hatha yoga, moving the body from the breath to flow in an attentive way. Students are encouraged to work with their breath, to modify and adjust the poses and the practice to suit their individual’s needs.

Yin yoga

Yin Yoga is a slower and more meditative practice,
holding the poses sitting or lying on the floor for a longer time, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations. It helps to stretch and lengthen those rarely - used tissues (fascia, ligaments, joints…) while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts, in order to open up blockages..

Alignment

This style of yoga explores a wide variety of postures with an emphasis on detail and correct alignment.  It focuses on flexibility, coordination, balance and strength with poses and positions held for longer periods of time and an ample use of props so that all individuals can perform the poses safely.  It is based on the principles of Iyengar Yoga.

Yinyasa ou VinYin … when Yin meets Yang or vice versa!
A beautiful mix and alchemy between two Yoga styles: Yin Yoga (gentle and deep) and Vinyasa Yoga (dynamic flow).
Complete your practice with Yoga Nidra (relaxation), Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Prenatal Yoga.

I have been lucky in the past to study with Jeanne Marie Paolillo, Neera Scott, David Lurey & Mirjam Wagner and most recently Jeanne Heileman who have all been a source of deep inspiration in my teaching.

I believe that masters come in all shapes and sizes. My life, my relationships, and my students are my biggest teachers.

You can practice with me in St Barth where I lead private sessions and workshops or join me in one of our retreats. I would be honored to practice and grow with you.

THEY SAY IT BETTER…

“Nanda, just a quick note to say merci beaucoup for the most wonderful yoga class ever!  You are so perfect at what you do and I will cherish the experience forever. I just loved everything about
St. Barth's, especially our time with you...
All the best to you and your family for a lifetime of health and happiness. Breathing through my toes
(as much as I can)”

— Liz Bradley

“I am so thankful for the Janzu session I received from Nanda.  it was truly a rebirth. It felt like nothing mattered anymore except the water flowing on my skin and the rays of the sun caressing my face. After this incredible experience I opened my eyes lying on the sand, my feet in the water. I was able to see things differently, I fell inner peace and a calm space that I did not feel for such a long time before that session. thank you my wonderful friend.”
